OpenAI’s first-ever developer conference – the OpenAI DevDay 2023 – showcased us all the new ChatGPT developments that we will get to see soon.

However, there’s only one thing that we will say about the improvements ChatGPT will face – it’s getting better, for all the good reasons.

The OpenAI DevDay 2023 was kickstarted with a keynote address by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who highlighted the milestones achieved by the company last year.

After his keynote speech, we got glimpses of the new developmental changes taking place with ChatGPT – which blew our minds. Here’s a quick breakdown of everything new coming to ChatGPT.

OpenAI Assistant API

The first major addition is the new OpenAI Assistant API. Here, developers can use generative AI to build “agent-like experiences” for their OpenAI-integrated applications. This allows apps to use the OpenAI Code Interpreter, which allows users to write and run codes.

GPT-4 Turbo

GPT-4 Turbo is the upgraded version of the GPT-4 model that we use now. Apart from providing text-based responses to the queries and prompts of users, conversations using AI-generated images can now be done from both sides, providing a better user experience.

Custom GPTs

Do you wish to create your custom-made generative AI chatbot tool? OpenAI will not allow you to do so! The best part? You don’t even need coding experience to do so! Simply prompt the AI to make it for you!

OpenAI GPT Store

OpenAI will soon open the gates to its OpenAI GPT Store for all its users and creators. Here, developers can post their custom GPT models, which other users can access. This makes it the official way you can earn money by developing GPT models!

If you use the ChatGPT Enterprise version or the ChatGPT AI, the Copyright Shield will provide you with additional and stronger data and privacy protection from customer lawsuits.

So what do you think about these new developments announced at the OpenAI DevDay 2023? Let us know in the comments below!
