Google has released an extensive core algorithm update on 25th May 2022. It started at 11:30 AM ET on May 25, and roughly, it would take one fortnight to fully roll out. Several times every year, Google makes considerable improvements to the overall ranking processes across the web. They refer to this as core updates.

Refreshes | Google would refresh this algorithm periodically but may not communicate you the updates. |
Google’s Public Liaison for Search, Danny Sullivan notes that this core update is gonna make changes to the site performance and search results. He added-
“Core updates are changes we make to improve Search overall and keep pace with the changing nature of the web. While nothing in a core update is specific to any particular site, these updates may produce some noticeable changes to how sites perform…”
There has been a range of broad core updates like this since May 16th. Although, Google hasn’t confirmed it and won’t do as well.
However, John Mueller, 12 hours before announcing this core update said “I'm not aware of anything specific. We always work to improve the quality & relevance of the search results, so it can happen that a site becomes more - or less - visible over time."
