Google Doodle has come up with a unique way to celebrate FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 opening on 20^th July. It brings a special multiplayer online game. You just need to search “Women’s World Cup 2023” on Google to play the multiplayer game. This game is meant for mobile devices.

This year FIFA Women’s World Cup reaches its ninth edition. And it is the first time being hosted by Australia and New Zealand. About the tournament, Google says, “Good Luck to all the national teams competing.” It further adds that all the fans will be watching the tournament with hope in their hearts and the flags of their favorite teams in their hands. 

As the FIFA Women’s World Cup opens today, host New Zealand will take to the field against Norway. According to local time, the match will kick start at around 7 pm, and it is to be held at Eden Park in Auckland. 

With high anticipation and revised pay structure and prize money for Women’s football by FIFA this year, the opening game expects a huge number of visitors. The attendance today is likely to break all the attendance reports in a host country for an international football match.

This year the FIFA Women’s World Cup is also special because it’s being regarded as the farewell tour of Marta Vieira da Silva. This Brazilian forward is indeed the poster girl of women’s football, and she is deemed the “greatest women footballer of all time.”

Thirty-two nations take part in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. The tournament seems quite “open” and filled with “possibilities” with so many countries taking part this time. Every team is resolute to give its best with things turning favorably for women’s football. 

There are many teams that look promising to lift the cup. With the U.S. national team being the absolute favorite and defending champion, the chances of Australia, the Netherlands, Canada, Spain, Brazil, and England also seem bright. 

Further, this time, football lovers have a lot of names to watch out for. Along with Marta, Khadija Shaw, Sam Kerr, Alexia Putellas, Ada Hegerberg, and Alex Morgan are likely to draw attention.
